Arts are part of the core curriculum at Generations Christian Academy. From Pre-K 1-4 and on up to Kindergarten through Grade 12, our students have many opportunities to explore their creative process, embrace imagination, and cultivate an appreciation for fine arts, entrepreneurship.
GCA athletics promotes teamwork, discipline, and Christlike sportsmanship, encouraging students to compete with excellence while honoring God both on and off the field.
Each member of the Generations Christian Academy community makes valuable contributions to our school’s core values and culture. As a community, our combined partnerships help create an exceptional experience for our students.
At Generations, we love to help students understand musical concepts and further their vocal gifting. There are many opportunities for students to grow in their musical abilities and use their talents to serve the Lord and serve others, as they discover what is involved in the vocal music field of study and career development.
Throughout Scripture, singing is a central expression of worship and joy and students are encouraged to use their voices as a means of praising God and communicating truth! Teaching students to develop their vocal abilities and learn how to sing is an important way we can help them use their God-given gifts to glorify Him and grow in confidence. As they learn proper vocal technique, discipline, and practice, they also develop perseverance and excellence in their work. Ultimately, our goal is to create opportunities to help cultivate their vocal skills, helping each child recognize that their voice is a gift from God and can be used to honor Him! We focus on developing proper singing techniques, refining ear training for harmonization, and preparing music for vocal performance or for time with the student Praise and Worship team.
Our Praise and Worship Team gives students the opportunity to use their musical gifts to lead others into authentic, Christ-centered worship. Students will develop skills in vocals and/or instruments while learning the heart behind worship—learning how to serve with humility, unity, and purpose. Through rehearsals, chapels, and special events, students grow in both musical excellence and spiritual maturity as they help create an atmosphere where others can encounter God.
